BOONE – Brothers everywhere would love to extend a gracious fraternal congratulations to Brother John Daniel Cook, Sr. for celebrating his 60th Masonic birthday today.  This day in 1948 Brother Cook took the obligation of a Master Mason and has been a credit to the fraternity ever since.  In 1952 Brother Cook became the Master of Snow Lodge No. 363 in Boone, NC.  Since that time he has welcomed many brothers into the fraternity including his son John Cook, Jr. and John Cook, III (Daniel).

Last night Worshipful Master Tom Redmond presented Brother Cook with his 60 year pin at the altar.  Past Master Cook was then invited to sit in the East at the left of the Worshipful Master for the rest of the night.  “It’s an honor and a privilege to have a brother of this caliber with us for so long. Not to mention to have three generations of fine Masons with us tonight”, said WM Redmond.

lodge_stripes Worshipful Master Tom Redmond and his band of merry Masons got together early this morning at the lodge and laid out lines for parking spaces.  In true Masonic style the brothers took out their working tools and properly measured, leveled, and angled each space.

This of course comes just in time for the annual Snow Lodge Masonic Charity BBQ on July the 18th.  This year Snow Lodge hopes to raise nearly $12,000 for its Masonic charities.  For more information on the BBQ visit www.snowlodge363.com.
