Herbert M. Aldridge 
(September 30, 1915 – June 28, 2008) 

Mr. Herbert M. Aldridge, age 92, of 568 Boulder Gardens Road, Boone, the Foscoe Community, died Saturday morning, June 28, 2008, at his home. 
Mr. Aldridge is survived by two sons, Randy Aldridge and wife Margie, and Chip Aldridge and wife Debra, all of Foscoe; one daughter, Suzanne Crum and husband Wesley of Foscoe; two granddaughters, Christie Aldridge and Kelsey Crum, both of Foscoe; two great-granddaughters, Charity Dollar and Valerie Dollar, both of Foscoe; one brother, Blan Aldridge and wife Katie of Asheville; one sister, Nancy Chamblin of Winston-Salem, and a special caregiver Karen McCard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Aldridge; his father and mother, H.O. and Bird Coffey Aldridge; one sister, Bina McLean, and two brothers, Dane Aldridge and Joe Aldridge. 

Funeral services for Mr. Herbert M. Aldridge will be conducted Monday evening, June 30, 2008, at 8:00 o’clock, at Foscoe Christian Church. The body will lie in state, at the church, from 6:00 until 8:00 o’clock. Officiating will be Pastor Lance Hostetter and Pastor Ken Caswell. Masonic graveside rites and burial will be conducted Tuesday morning, at 10:00 o’clock, at Foscoe Community Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends Monday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00 o’clock, at the church, prior to the service.

Boone – Snow Lodge No. 363 AF & AM in Boone welcomed its newest Entered Apprentice’s last night in a triple first degree.  Orian Carter, Tommie McCranie, and George Winkler all took the oath of an Entered Apprentice and began there journey to through the temple. All three of these brothers are next generation masons.  Orian’s brother Bill Carter has been a Master Mason for nearly a year, and their father was a Master Mason.  Tommie McCranie’s son was on hand to see his father take the oath.  He is a secretary at West Gate Lodge in Charlotte, NC.  George Winkler’s father Richard is a past master of Snow Lodge No. 363.  “It’s great to see fathers and son’s, son’s and fathers coming into the lodge to continue a Masonic family tradition”, said Worshipful Master Tom Redmond.

Boone – Snow Lodge No. 363 AF & AM in Boone welcomed its newest Entered Apprentice last night. Nathaniel Henries took the oath of an Entered Apprentice and began there journey to through the temple. “I am glad and grateful to have Nate in the Lodge”, said Worshipful Master Tom Redmond. “He’ll make a fine addition to the Lodge.”

Boone – Snow Lodge No. 363 AF & AM in Boone welcomed its newest Master Masons in a double Third Degree.  Shaw Corey of Banner Elk and Michael Baker of Boone, NC took the obligation of Master Mason and became full members of the lodge.
