Brothers, It is very difficult for me to type these words. Brother Bill Miller has gone onto be with God. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Boone on Saturday @ 3PM with full Masonic Rites. Visitation will be shortly after the service at Austin and Barnes Funeral Home in downtown. An Obituary will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
Practices for the Lodge of Sorrows will be held tomorrow @ Snow Lodge @ 730PM. God Bless Brother Miller and his family. Truly a Mason among Men.

BOONE – It was a rotation night at Snow Lodge last night. Worshipful Master Tom Redmond was out on business last night which gave everyone a chance at stepping up. Hal Main presided in the East and did a pretty good job for a first attempt. Luckily the Lodge was forgiving as the brothers of the executive committee worked out the kinks.
Two candidates were affirmed by secret ballot last night to receive the degrees of Masonry. Mr. Ben York and Mr. Griff Austin will shortly be scheduled to receive the Entered Apprentice Degree. In addition, two petitions were read and sent to Grand Lodge for a 28 day layover. Worshipful Master Hal Main announced their would be a double first degree on Tuesday September 16th @ 7pm.
Brothers of the lodge briefly went over the proposed amendments to the Grand Lodge Constitution and voiced their opinions. You can find those at this link. http://www.grandlodge-nc.org/pdf/Amendments%202008Final3.pdf

Worshipful Master Tom Redmond and his band of merry Masons got together early this morning at the lodge and laid out lines for parking spaces. In true Masonic style the brothers took out their working tools and properly measured, leveled, and angled each space.
This of course comes just in time for the annual Snow Lodge Masonic Charity BBQ on July the 18th. This year Snow Lodge hopes to raise nearly $12,000 for its Masonic charities. For more information on the BBQ visit www.snowlodge363.com.
